Mary Ann's Surprise 65th Birthday Blog Hop

Welcome to "Mary Ann's Surprise Birthday" Blog Hop!

If you have arrived from Ashley's Blog, then you are in the right place.  If you are reading this from your dashboard or just happened by head over to Nana's Scrap Spot to start at the beginning, we don't want you to miss any of the fun!

This is Miranda from Nana's Scrap Spot taking over my Mom's Blog today to celebrate her birthday!!!!!

Let me tell you a little about my wonderful Mom!  She is a Mother, Wife, Grandmother, Care Giver, Friend and all around awesome person.  She is my very best friend!  We talk every day and try to see each other as much as possible.  She is AWESOME!

Some of my Mom's favorite things are......gardening, crafting, vacationing and spending time with family.  She is a florist by trade but doesn't do much of that anymore, mostly for family in her backyard shop.

A few years back, she had a TIA which put things in perspective for me.  You think your parents are going to be here forever or at least you hope so, right.  But after her health scare, which by the way she made a full recovery, our bond just got stronger.  I make it a point to see her as much as possible and we vacation together; you know a little mother/daughter time!  I LOVE MY MOMMY!!!!!!  And that is the reason I am doing this for her!  Mom, I hope you enjoy your special day!!!!

What blog hop would be complete without a  little candy?  Well we have some candy up for grabs......  Mary from  Cardz TV with Mary is our sponsor for this hop!  She will be giving away TWO stamp sets!  Be sure to stop by her blog and give her some bloggie love!  And head over to  facebook and become a Cardz TV Stamps follower!

In addition, I will be giving away a Michael or JoAnn's gift card, winner's choice.  To be eligible for the blog candy, you are required to visit each stop in the hop and leave a comment!  The winner will be announced Friday on my blog!

Don't forget to leave a birthday message for the birthday girl!!!!!

Mardi Gras Blog Hop

Welcome to the "Mardi Gras" Blog Hop!

It's Carnival Time here in the Big Easy a/k/a New Orleans! And we are celebrating with our own parade!  A parade of paper crafts!

We're so happy you could join us today!

You should have arrived from MICHELE'S Blog.  If you arrived here via your dashboard or just happened by, please go to Nana's Scrap Spot to start at the beginning, we wouldn't want you to miss any of the fun.

In addition to seeing a lot of awesome creations, there is some blog candy available too.  Miranda be giving away a Michael’s gift card.  To be eligible for the blog candy, you are required to visit each stop in the hop and leave a comment!  The winner will be announced Friday on Miranda's blog!

This is my take on a Mardi Gras card.  I used all traditional Mardi Gras Colors.  My butterfly is actually a butterfly mask I made.  If you look closely, you'll see the eye holes.  My two masks in the corners are actually chip board that I glittered and added feathers to.  I didn't have a Mardi Gras stamp so I hand wrote Happy Mardi Gras!

I have some surprise blog candy to be given away today all you have to do is become a follower of my blog and leave me a comment telling me so with a way to contact you.  I'll be announcing the winner next week on my blog in my regular post.

Next on the hop is KATHY!

For my card today, I created at 5 1/2 X 4 1/4 card with pink and white card stock.  I used my mini score board to create the frame around my card.  The stamp is from Flourishes and I colored the image with Spectrum markers.  The pretty pink ribbon is from Walmart and the pearls are from Michael's.
